Description
Danique is one of my dahlia grower “happy accidents.” Originally I ordered a Brown Sugar, but was pleasantly surprised when this bloom came out. Sometimes the mistakes make for the best part of gardening. Danique is a deep warm brick red, it has a smoky quality that I am just drawn to in dahlias, and often make it difficult to photograph. The blooms of this formal decorative are huge at 6-8″ across and the foliage on this plant is a darker green. I’ll never not grow this girl in my garden.
