Here she is- The “Queen of the Dahlias.” Cafe Au-Lait is a must grow. Warm cream with coffee tones in this large AA dahlia spanning 10″ across. So gorgeous, romantic, and a must for wedding work.
I’ve grown Sylvia as long as I can remember. This is one of the most hearty and reliable dahlias! The profusion of blooms just won’t quit, you will have endless bouquets from just a few plants. Sylvia reaches 4′ in height and the 4″ ball shaped dahlias are perfect for late summer.
Ooh, I love this dahlia! It has such unique coloring and form. The name is perfect because the red/orange/yellow combo looks like a sunset. These blooms have a bright yellow center before opening, I love how vibrant they look and what different tones this bloom takes on with the season. Similar growth habit to Milena…
One of my all-time favorite dahlias to grow! This prolific bloomer coming from the tiniest tubers has such a delicate feature to the petals, they appear transparent up close! Deeply saturated coral and raspberry tinted miniature ball blooms are 3-4″ across, reaching 5′ in height. BB, FD, Salmon.
This was my absolute favorite bloom from the ’23 season! KR Edge of Red, hybridized by the famous Kirk Redlin in Fruitland, ID is a showstopper! These large AA size blooms just glow in a rich yellow and orange petal with a gorgeous magenta red picotee edge. Photograph at sunset and you’ll see why it…
A must-grow! This pale pink decorative dahlia is beautiful and goes with everything. It is prolific in the bush, and a stunner in the field! Growing over 4′ high, the 5″ blooms grow profusely on long stems. Excellent cut flower.
One of my favorites to grow is Milena Fleur. This bloom sparkles- for real! It has a shimmery quality to the petals that is rare for most dahlias. The petals are soft pink with a pale golden yellow stripe down the center and the color intensity varies with the heat of the season. These flowers…
Keith H is a stunning yellow dahlia! I’m not a yellow flower fan per se, but this cultivar has such a magical quality to the bloom. Palest sunny yellow petals that look almost iridescent are lined with the finest red picotee edge on this waterlily form. It is just enough detail to make the flower…
Danique is one of my dahlia grower “happy accidents.” Originally I ordered a Brown Sugar, but was pleasantly surprised when this bloom came out. Sometimes the mistakes make for the best part of gardening. Danique is a deep warm brick red, it has a smoky quality that I am just drawn to in dahlias, and…
Armatera remains a favorite in my cut flower garden. A decorative bicolor dahlia, it has a creamy yellow base with dark raspberry reverse on the petals and outer petal tips that give the illusion of an eye in the center. The form is exquisite, petals slightly incurved like a waterlily . This cultivar is prolific,…
